The trouble is the QV for me has been a disaster. And I don't think I'm alone. I spend some time on Mannheim auctions and the amount of QV's that are offered as buy-backs aka lemoned cars is staggering. I think much of this can be attributed to a poorly trained and supported dealer network. But this is a critical part of the ownership experience that clearly was intentionally ignored.
In contrast the dozen BMW's I've owned have been a breeze. With a sample size this large and being an early adopter of high performance cars there's going to be issues. But all have been promptly handled and resolved in a completely acceptable manner. Issues with the QV were a battle that in the end I gave up on. It's just not that important to me to invest this much time.
In the end for me it doesn't matter how good a product is if the pain of ownership kills the fun. When this happens its dead to me and my limited sphere of influence.

What year is your QV?

Not enough data to know. 2020+ refreshed models are still in their initial lease terms, probably without many miles. I'd still imagine the Germans are more reliable, although I do know a guy whose new C63s coupe was a lemon.

Just sold my E92 M3 and picked up a 1 owner 2018MY QV with 43k miles. Carfax looked good, and the warranty expires in Jan so I'll be extending it through Mopar. $81k new, talked the dealer down to $44k. Speced exactly how I wanted, driver assist pack, carbon sparco seats, carbon steering wheel. Wish me luck!

Just for fun, Look up a used M760i. Got mine recently for exactly half price at 3 years old, 19,900 miles, and CPO. MSRP $184K (fully loaded), purchased at $92K

They hold pretty well once someone else took the initial hit. My friend bought a 2017 QV with 5k miles for $54k last year and it's probably still worth around $56k or so even with the market going down recently.

You will love it. I have had six ///M cars and they don't give you that special feeling as the Alfa Quadrifoglio's do, the power train is amazing.
Here is my 22 QV. I have since traded it for its sibling.

An M4 xdrive should be a much more exciting driving car than a Stelvio QV SUV but it's not. I have high hopes for the M2..

Noticed your location. I was literally in your town a few days ago. Wish I had seen your red Alfa amongst a sea of blah cars.

Thats cool. Rosso Etna Guilia Quadrifoglio is gone replaced with a hard to find spec Stelvio Quadrifoglio in Misano blue with CF seats and no sunroof.

Awesome car and color and what a bargain!
Despite all my issues with mine as I've said before IMHO the QV provides one of most exciting and dynamic driving experiences while at the same time providing a ride quality that I can only describe as sublime. I think if you have a competent local Alfa dealer and a warranty you'll be fine.

I'm thinking about a Stelvio QV for the winter. I know gluten for punishment…
It's been awhile since I drove one but recall it offering a surprisingly similar experience as the Giulia QV.
I keep watching this video as inspiration. The fun starts around 40 seconds in.

Did they ever figure out how to crack the ECU or did anyone make a drop in standalone for this?

Yes it does. Stelvio is amazing. Its a freaking riot to drive Also the exhaust is even louder than the Guilia! Just had Pirelli scorpion winters installed. If anyone is looking for a Guilia QV it got traded at Alfa of Strongsville in OH.

I will get a few pics of the Stelvio QV tomorrow.

Yes there's a tune of running options for the QV from mild to wild.
There's even revised suspension tuning that can be matched to different springs.

I took a few of the Stelvio Quadrifoglio. Misano Blue looks good even dirty.
