Well I'd suggest you could get the bolster repaired easily TBH and just for a few hundred $'s. Your other option is a complete seat recovering which will run into 1000$'s as you'll need to find somewhere that does bespoke coachwork.

Reason I ask is that if its the color, there are come excellent people out there who do leather dyeing. They can match your exact color to the rest of the seat/interior color. I have used this service on my Land Rover. |

Companies like this do exactly what you are looking for. Sounds like the bolster area, or even the whole seat needs to be dyed again.

Hello All, When I still had my old E36 328IC, I bought a full set of seat covers from Katzskins. They didn't have the pattern for the E36 328IC, but they found the exact pattern was the same for the 318. You may want to visit a local upholstery shop, and see if they can make seat covers, and use the old ones as a pattern. In this months Roundel, in Tech Talk, pg 093 a reader posted a company "gahh.com" makes BMW replacement seat covers. I went to the page for my Z4, E89, and found no listing for the car, nor the color of my seats. Good Luck, and keep us all posted on what you find.

I've also looked into many options to change my seat.
I wanted red from black. OEM seats were too expensive, did not want to get seats from ebay or junk yard, my mechanic friends are all recommending not to paint the seat. So I looked into seat covers for e89 and there are not really many places making them. Popular ones like Clazzio or Coverking, they don't make one for e89. Only one I found was Iggee, but when I looked Iggee applications from youtube and stuff, they didn't look good. So, I hesitated alot between coloring, reupholstering, and this iggee seat covers and decided to give it a try to the iggee because they are really cheap ($175), and see if things aren't working well, I would consider reupholstering. Here is the result after I installed Iggee. Very impressed the quality of the product unlike those review videos. side notes, do not buy the console cover, they dont fit well. and installation takes long time to be perfect. took me 5 hours each seat, using steam machine to work with wrinkles.
