Intro and ?: Help with Dimmer Potentiometer fault

Hello, PossumZ here. I have a 2011 Z4 iDrive 2.3i that runs and drives fantastic on the potholes they call roads here in rural China. I have scoured the interwebs looking for an answer about the FRM error that appeared recently. But alas, no luck. Maybe one of you can help? What the bleep is a Dimmer Potentiometer Defective error in the FRM. Sorry but my auto knowledge strengths are restricted to pre-1974 AMX and Javelins... Thanks in advance!

It would be a hoot! My Jav/AMX days were back in Tennessee. Been stuck here in China for the past 20 years. No AMC's here so I've been rocking BMWs instead...
