Need help opening the trunk
Hi.
I'm new to this forum and would appreciate any help. Last fall I stored my 2011 Z4 E89 and removed the battery, by mistake I closed/locked the trunk. Today, I wanted to open the trunk to re-install the battery but couldn't open the trunk. I tried boosting the car, using boosting cable to jump start and to get power to the trunk release switch but nothing got through. Someone recommended I use a booster pack but wouldn't that be the same as using jumper cables connected to another car? And if so do I connect to the same terminals. Thanks for your response. Mario |

arm though the pass through, reach (or get a coat hanger) and find the trunk release emergency latch.
Search - plenty of similar stories, you're not alone.... |

Hook up another battery with positive to red post in Engine bay and negative to car's body. All the car electronics will be working and you can open your car.
