Radio and Nav issues

All,

I just picked up a 14 35is. There are a couple of issues that I suspect may be related.

1) The navigation never loads. The screen just says "Starting navigation system...."

2) While the radio works, none of buttons on the radio unit work except the mute button. I can't set the volume there, I have to use the steering wheel.

I've rebooted the system with the mute button. It didn't help.
