I am so glad I bought the M2C now..
I am liking it so far and will make a final judgement after seeing it in person.

I hope they don't increase the dimensions of the car and focus more on weight savings, improvements in suspension and steering. Take it to the next level!

Doesn't look too bad. Has a bit of the 2 GC rear end (not a good thing) but if there is no 4 series grill, it really can't be that bad!

I think it looks good...my only wish is that they lengthen the car just a TINY bit. I don't want it to lose its driving dynamics, but I think it looks a little "squashed" in current form.

That's because they used a Potato to take the pictures

With a proper camera the car doesn't look that way

Kinda goes back around to the original point. Seems like an elegant solution to the airflow question instead of making the front of the car look like an open mouthed bass. And again, if the engine needed that much cooling/airflow, they would not have used a design the can close and open. It would just be open.
On G20 3 series, about 2/3 of the grille is dynamic and will open as needed. The top 1/3 is always closed and cannot open proving that even G20's front grilles are already larger than necessary for cooling, proper aerodynamics (too much opening increases drag) etc.

Thanks for bringing this up. To this day I still can't stand these grills.
Who thought this quarter blank thing was a good design?
It looks unfinished where it was supposed to have the slats opened but they forgot to remove the material.

Looks cute, and that’s not a good thing. C’mon BMW, you can surely do better. What happened to all the mean looking cars.

Being done deliberately

I guess the 2er cannot overshadow the 4er

I think he is referring to the current 2 Series, which I agree with. It would benefit aesthetically from a bit more length. Looks a little squished and pudgy.

The back kinda reminds me of the e90, I adore it! The front looks like a hybrid of an Audi and a Hyundai i20 2014. A sterile hybrid. Whats up with BMW's disgusting front designs lately

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

You are on to something here. So seems BMW wants to become Audi: the big 4 series grill + its funky A5 Like C pillar, this headlight design, And after all these years using a 5x120 bolt pattern, their sudden switch of all their new models to a 5x112 Pattern 🤔

Also makes those of us that have a set of winter rims kinda pissed.

One of the reasons to continue with BMW was at least I could keep those. I guess not

Always wondered if this was another "Decision" charge for the sake of change by the new management.
There is literally no reason for this, the support for 5x120 patterns are plenty.
If they really wanted to do something good, should've gone to 5x114.3

I wouldnt be surprised if the forthcoming 2er slots in size with the e92 and becomes the enthusiast 2 door of choice if it still gets a rwd option.

Please edify me at this point . . . not sure what the 'bolt pattern' is referencing specifically?
