I broke my right arm at university on a Monday night, and I had a final exam I had to take the next morning - I could not miss it because I missed the mid-term exam with a broken thumb. So I asked them not to plaster cast it that night, just bandage it, and I promised I would come back Tuesday after my exam.

So I wrote the exam with a broken arm in a bandage. Even had to step out half way through to run it under water to try to ease the pain

You step down from rung 3 to 2 on the ladder, hit something, and don't even try to grab the ladder as you fall backwards, it's no use. . .

If your angel is around, it was the couch that tripped that fatal step, and you land comfortably on said couch, and the 5' shelf, and both drills drop the other direction instead of impaling you in the gut/testicles.

Loved the movie and the TV series but never heard of "Felix Unger Day."

Guess I didn't pay attention. lol

PS - Looked it up (November 13) so now I know.

Quote:
Why November 13? Because as narrated in the introduction to the TV show The Odd Couple — "On November 13th, Felix Unger was asked to remove himself from his place of residence; that request came from his wife. Deep down, he knew she was right. But he also knew that some day he would return to her."

Sounds like a reason to celebrate to me.

I go in again next near for my second one.

PS - or is it third? Hmmm... You know I'm old, 'cause I'm not sure.

Wait, this hole polyps thing is age based?

I was like 26 or something, with the 3-day cleanse and barium contrast.

No klingons were found

I recall drinking the barium?

About a decade later, when I had a full homeopathic case taken, barium was what I was prescribed. Coincidence??? I think not.

Mine was definitely an enema, and I hated it!

Oh, there was a camera definitely sent the wrong way up the alimentary canal, but I don't recall any liquids being inserted.

Probably, with the difference in our ages, the procedure had evolved by the time it got to me

I think we're only about 10 years different. But that can mean a big difference as far as medical procedures go.

1966, but they put a man on the moon shortly after I was born. How far did medical technology advance in the late 80's???

1955 here, and the answer to your question is probably a lot. The difference between drinking the barium and injecting it up the anus.

I’m glad your angel was there! Try falling from the top to the bottom of a spiral staircase in the guesthouse. This picture shows where my feet slammed up against the wall at the bottom. The marks at the top are over 5 feet up the wall. On the way down, I thought I was gonna break my neck or split my head open on the tile floor at the bottom. I used up one of my nine lives that night, meow!
