MLBPA vs OWNER’S
This should be interesting how this unfolds. You have players like Blake Snell, saying he’s not going to take a pay cut. Most importantly to me, is how are they going to work out all the variables involved with Covid-19 testing? Hopefully both parties come to a agreement.

If Blake Snell’s commentary was representative of the majority of players, I’d be happy to see them skip the season. But I expect cooler heads will prevail and they will work something out. However, the clock is ticking. If they can’t work it out in the next couple of weeks, I don’t see it happening.

A huge jerk. Let the union come out and say those things. And the other moron, Bryce Harper comes out, and agrees with him. I just can’t imagine what will happen, if both sides can’t agree. The public, elected officials, and social media, will roast them.

If they were guaranteed a full salary for this season (162 games), they would all be on board, including Blake Snail and Harper. At this point I’m used to not watching sports so if there is no season, so be it.
However, NFL must go on dammit. |

True, I’m good if the baseball season is canceled. I never thought I would ever come to that conclusion.

I wouldn't take a pay cut either.
With that being said I desperately need some sports, even baseball.

Yes. Would love to see baseball this summer. However, if there’s going to be a fight over money. Marble racing, KBO, and UFC, will do for now, until the NFL season starts.

They should. Kinda pointless for them to only play 2.5 months at best. Won’t feel like a season, though rather like a quick tournament. Again, as long as the NFL starts on time, I’ll take that trade off.

Baseball seems to be worlds apart right now, in terms of playing in 2020. However, I am excited to see basketball come back. Not going to let Covid19 rob the Lakers!

Fuck the spoiled men playing a child’s game for obscene amounts of money. Let’s see how their skills in relation to hitting a ball with a wooden stick translate in a crushed job market with around 47 million people out of work. “Hi may I help you” is top of the line for 99% of these creeps.
I haven’t missed a single second of sports through all this nonsense. Nothing but worthless bread and circus so let em rot. |

The owners have been printing money for a long time with the city built ballparks, tax breaks and television revenue. That said, the players should let the Union speak for them and try not to alienate the fans. I haven’t seen the deal they struck for the 60 game season but I imagine the players get a prorated salary and a percentage of the television revenue.

Several players already opting out of the season. I totally agree with them. I’m hoping that nobody contracts Covid-19. I would’ve been ok with not having a 2020 MLB season. I’m a Yankee season ticket holder, and love baseball. However, the safety and health of the teams come first. Also can’t forget their families.

David Price opting out. The only good thing about MLB in 2020 is the trade the Sox made with the LAD.

Should be interesting where Betts ends up signing with. And the terms of his contract. I don’t see teams paying $30m plus, for 8-10 years. However, I’m sure there’s a sucker born everyday.
I could see Betts going back to the Redsox. |
