I drove the wife about 15 min to her recent fav pottery location: they no longer had the ones she wanted. So she pulls out this ad for another one 45 min away right at 101/405 interchange in Reseda. We get there and it’s primarily a water fountain place, never seen so many in one place. All three major room just have a SOAKED strip of carpet between all the rows. And then pots above head height. We came home with two of these.

On way home wife said “I bought these for myself for Mothets day”
“And I Uber-ed you there and back for Mother’s Day”

I picked-up my potting soil, manure and peat moss after work. I'll be starting my pots in the next few days. The perennial beds are starting to green.

That is stunning Unc! Definitely my kind of vase. I have a handful of Taleveras that are so bright and colorful. This one had to cost I would guess: @ $400?

You're SIGNIFICANTLY closer to the source than we are. The list was $1499 each, guy told her 40% off when we first looked ($899), she got them for $800.

For one or pair?

True, various local stores including Kroger, Tom Thumb, etc carry the smaller ones. But there's a place about 10min away that is owned and operated by Mexicans who regularly bring inventory up. I recall seeing something about this size for @ $400.
At any rate, it's very nice. And I'm a firm believer in paying the value for something I want.

Unmatched pair, with tax, was ~$1760. She loves them, and they weren’t anywhere near as heavy as I was fearing. Happy dia!

Re-potting some Marigolds that were overgrowing their tiny containers. They'll stay in the house for another two weeks. Much too cold outside. Marigolds are great in veggie gardens as they deter bugs. My garage looks like a garden center with all the plants I bought for my pots.

I bought the same TLB a couple years ago. Worth its weight in gold. I use that TLB on everything, I don't even think I pick up and carry tools any more. So may great uses.

Picked up mine because the first quote to do some work was more than the cost of the tractor. Now they may not of wanted to do the work, or were smarter than me.

Id show pics of the yard, but it's gone and just a dust yard still. Things keep happening to start again. Great ideas though from everyone.

Yesterday we topped at 95°F with a humidex of 102°. Today we are down to 42° with a chance of frost overnight...

All the pots are in the garage and I covered the veggie boxes. Cold and rainy temperatures for the next few days.

I love my Hummingbirds. But what I don't like are the ants always finding ways to get in the feeder.

I devised a trap using a strip of glue board that I installed last evening and the results this morning.

Got a grooved roller for the front, and moved my smooth roller to the back to get better striping. This thing is cutting great now. Had been weary of a grooved roller, but its night and day difference in quality of cut.
