Re: the oil cooler issue (I know this is an E89 forum, but same may hold true)
I have a '07 E93 335 w/ Sport and 6-speed manual and have an oil cooler. My friend who has the same car (we did side-by-side Euro Delivery) except with Steptronic tranny does not have an oil cooler. Go figure. OnOn |

Pardon the dirty underside - still in the process of cleaning after just returning from a beach trip, which included some great top down time! Best regards, Ed |

Looks good, but if there is a transmission failure etc etc (and not engine) who pays? I could see a game of "ping-pong" here between BMW denying liability and the Software seller saying it's a BMW warranty issue.
I have an iS due in 2+ weeks and would only have an upgrade if BMW supplied it. I think the upgrade would be ok if you did not intend to keep the car for to long? Regards

I don't think dinan will pay or should pay for something that is not their fault. If the dealer wants to play the blame game, than its up to consumer to get involved. I got to much going on in my life, which allowed me to buy a z4 in the first place, to babysit a process that should be clean. When these issues do occur from time to time the customer ends up paying from what I evidenced. And its usually has nothing to do with the tune. |

FWIW, am assured by Scott at Dinan that Stage II will easily handle DCT torque and that Dinan's warranty would apply if he's wrong. And 20% off, point-of-sale. So I'll be taking the plunge next week - will post impressions when I have some...

go Rubber Ducky - I am sure it will be awesome and I look forward to your report; Dinan has earned its reputation and I would not hesitate to go Stage II
