It was and I looked over fuses one second time and found a blown fuse

Glad it works now.

So, what camera are you guys using, I’m looking on amazon and I’m not sure which is a good and reliable buy.

Also, I’ve noticed when I place the car in reverse back up camera screen comes on and audio stops, Bluetooth music etc. It is kinda annoying, any way to stop that?

The only one I've actually dealt with is a-carnavi.com, link here, but they are becoming difficult to contact.

So I've found this link... https://www.hifimax.net/10-25-autora...nQHDjhwm-SCStI
Just add in the 4GB RAM and any other option you feel you want (DAB is digital radio here in the UK and Europe)

Do you mean a reverse camera? Yes mine is in place of one of the rear license plate lights, BUT I do not recommend this fitting, it's not central and the hole is off-square. I'd go for one that is a license plate surround, where it is centralised.

As for it cutting the volume, no sorry I'm not currently aware of a way around that. Saying that I'd rather have the sound go and concentrate on reversing and hearing the sensor sounds properly.

Thanks, I elected to forego the reverse camera. It just seemed like more work than I was willing to take on with my already very busy schedule. I did take the chance to wrap ref dash since it was removed for the Android screen. I’m impressed with the new look, let me know your thoughts

Thanks for sharing the links. For now I have up on the idea of a reverse camera. However, I’m curious to see how the video quality and position looks like on the screen. I may look into the front and rear in the future

The official answer to that is NO.
Apparently this company designed the e89 unit to run on Android 8.1 even though Android 9 was already out, and to cap it off they didn't write in an upgradable ability!! So our units cannot have Android 9, unless we want to buy a new mainboard, and then have Android 9, 6 core processor and 4GB RAM and that's about $150.
Now to be fair, having Android 9 wouldn't make a lot of difference to how you'd use it. The 6 core processor and 4GB RAM would but then you wouldn't have that anyway. I've just changed my phone from one with A 8.1 to A9 and I can't really tell the difference for day-to-day usage .
There is an update to the new ID7 UI along with a few other tweeks but it doesn't make it run any better. I've had the earlier version of this update and I'm still trying to see if anything has actually improved apart from visually and so far no it hasn't (in fact it's caused me a lot of trouble getting it working again after installing the update, hence why I pulled my link to it) They are, allegedly, updating the update so hopefully a clean working "out of the box" update will be available shortly.
Honestly though I don't really like the ID7 UI, the integration into this environment seems rushed and clunky and ill thought out. One improvement though is that if you have added any extra music apps (Carplay, Spotify etc) then the process to get the steering wheel buttons working is a lot quicker now.

Glad you've got it working.
Looks like one of the guys here in the UK has had to have his mainboard changed as well as it was doing a lot of things that it shouldn't and not recognising a lot of other stuff as well.

So I'm assuming you've got the new 6 core processor and 4GB RAM as well?

Also DavesZed there are some of us who have a problem with the GPS Antenna (it takes a long time to connect to the satelites - i've even changed it's location but it did not affect the signal quality) do you know something about that, did you experience this issue?

That’s amazing. Does it just plug in to the usb? Care to share the link? Looks like I’ll be ordering it. How’s connectivity? I also have the iOS 13 too.

I have a wired one that is usb dongle that you use a standard lighting cable. This dongles needs and Android headunit. I have order the wireless CarPlay version from avinusa. I am planing to review it once I get it in few days.

The one I have right now is wired only so you have to plug it in every time and connection is very fast.

Experience is awesome. One thing which is bothering me little is Siri volume is very low and if you increase the volume while she is talking it also increases the volume of the music that is playing.

Give me few days and I will let you know how the wireless one works
