850+ HP BMW Clown Shoe AKA Z3 M Coupe

From the video creator:

Hey guys! Today Marcus is behind the wheel of an 850+HP BMW M Coupé running on E85, one of the most polarizing vehicles ever made. Is it ugly? Is it beautiful? It's a little bit of both, honestly. With a custom Vortech supercharger setup under the hood feeding the 3.2L S54 engine from the BMW ///M division, this car gives the turbocharged E46 M3 we filmed a run for its money. Enjoy!

In for the 850whp dyno sheet

Other than the unrealistic supercharged hp... looks like a nice, sorted clown.

I've always loved the Shoe, I might even give up the 993 for one.

Kind of interesting, but I think I'd want to keep the engine somewhat stock.

The video was well produced. I caught several glimpses of AP Racing calipers. Great choice in brakes harnessing all that extra power and bringing the vehicle to a stop with confidence.

Loved mine, had it 14 years. The 993 was the one car that I seriously debated switching to, but never did. Both have some of the prettiest rear fenders. You can't go wrong with either.

Dyno sheet, please. "I'm driving the detuned version of it"... LOL. Oh ok... You mean, what it actually makes.

the reason WHP is so high is likely high RPM and the 12-1 compression. 20lb, even blow, at high RPM with 12-1 pistons would put down good numbers for sure. Thats also why he needs e85 with meth direct injection.

No, the s54 in any form is incapable of producing 1000+ crank HP which it would need to in order to produce 850whp... High compression helps top end HP but adding boost to high compression engines doesn't fair well which is why you see so many supercharged s54 & s65 engines with less than 6lbs of boost because anymore and the high compression motor will grenade without being seriously rebuilt and stroked out.

TBH even if it were possible, why would anyone want 850 hp in it. The car as stock with 340ish hp was already a handful at times.

Now if someone could figure out how to get an e90 m3 suspension and subframe transplant without ruining the feel, that would be something

Ha, yeah, stock was a handful at the track. Lots of looking through the side windows, some watching the world come at you through the rear view mirror, plenty of mowing and gravel rearranging. I can't imagine nearly 3x that power with that wheelbase and the E30 trailing arms.

That is my favorite BMW steering wheel. Also, I would sell all of my possessions for a proper and updated Z4M Clown Shoe.

Jason,

Let drop the nickname "Clown Shoe"
Its been played out.
It's a classic BMW I love.
Doesn't deserve that nickname.

What a joke. No way that blower is helping it make anything close to 850hp.
