My E89 Z4-35i has new friend in the garage...
Couldn't resist this awesome deal so I had to take it home last weekend: A fully loaded 2008 E92 M3 in Alpine White/Fox Red/6-spd MT with only 8700 miles barely broken in and for a little over $20k below original MSRP.
First mod will be windows, 35% ceramic tint.

SoooOOOooo nice to have something crazy fast to drive and now with the M3 you have the option whenever you want to be more docile and refined. Love your stable!

Let the mods begin! The M3 is healing at the dealership overnight.....carbon fiber mirror caps, CF front splitters, CF spoiler, and gloss black grills have been installed. Here is what the dealership sent me this evening as a teaser photo. Ugh!

Did you purchase this mod at the dealer or is the dealer just installing it? What did it set you back? Please let me know I am planning the same mod operation for my babe

Looks lovely. I bought my 2009 Z4 35i with only 4,500 miles on it for $25,000 under the original sticker. The car is loaded with all goodies and still looks brand new in every way. My car basically spent 2 years sitting in an older gentleman's garage who had a knee replacement and couldn't drive it! I love a good deal and it looks like you found one too!

I particularly enjoy how the white washer & dryer looks. jk.
Amazing. Care to compare the two cars in detail? I've always wanted to get some perspective from a person who has both of these cars. |

- M3 definitely handles like it's glued to the ground. - I have 6 speed manual on both cars and they both pull at any gear. M3 has longer shift throws compared to the Z4 having a shorter shift throws when rowing through the gears. - The M3 V8 engine & stock exhaust sounds so good when pushing it hard. - Z4 has Eisenmann Race, it also has a sweet exhaust note. Z4 is louder at start up with the Eisenmann. Not sure yet as to which is louder when accelerating hard. They both have a loud distinct sound. - M3 feels well more stable and planted. Z4 is a bit more tossable especially with Dinan Stage 2. - M3 clutch takes more effort to push in vs the Z4 being too easy - M3 has a better steering feel & feedback over the Z4 - Z4 vs M3 in straight line 0-60 maybe similar especially with Dinan Stage 2 advantage for the Z4, but after 80 to 90 miles the M3 would probably pull ahead. Both cars are very responsive. M3 feels even more so when in the canyon/twisty roads. - I'm liking the configurable M button on the M3. Set it the way you like in the settings menu and 1 touch of the M button enables it at anytime. - After driving the M3 for extended period and then immediately jumping into the Z4 afterwards, M3 makes the Z4 feel like a toy. - Both cars make you feel like you want to go faster and faster. - I like the coupe feel of the M3 with it's carbon fiber roof. I never feel like I need to have a sunroof. If I want the top down, I just opt to drive the Z4. - I love both cars, but if I ever had to part ways with either one, it would be a tough choice. I think these two cars are BMW's best looking ones, IMHO. M3: It just does everything well but drop the top. Z4: It's a fun little drop top with better gas mileage.

Man a White M3 and White 35i, life doesn't get any better. I'm thinking about getting a third car or maybe something to replace my SUV and this combo just seems too good. I always thought that having two fast cars at the same time would be quite redundant but after reading your comparison it really gets my blood pumping to get maybe get another coupe or sedan. An M5 would be the dream lol.
