E89 Key Fob Retrofit to New Blade Styled Aluminum Keys

Hey everyone, just want to share some pictures of my new key fob here on the forum.
Retrofitted to Newer styled BMW Blade, which is used in most of thew BMWs these days. The metal surface and extra weight makes it feel wayyy more sturdy and premium compared to the old key🙌

Super happy with the result, everything works as it should. Sadly it only works with those with comfort access as the new key cannot be inserted to the slot : ( The actual key blade cannot be carved onto the new key, so you will still get the old key back and the new key will have a blank key blade. With shipping and everything, the whole process took about a week. Price is around $180 for everything (new key fob + programming/labor + shipping). done by Gates Innovations (gatesinnovations.com or @gatesinnovations on instagram). Unfortunately no, due to the new key blade having different proportions compared to the flatter old blade. You will be getting your original key fob back though.
