2013 Z4 Trouble Codes help!

Hello I scan my 2013 z4 and I have a few issues that Im hoping to fix myself with a little help from you. Right now Im not able to open the trunk at all not even from the inside or the outside or the alarm control. Im unable to open the middle console also or the passanger door. I scan my car and this is the codes I got.

31E9 ELECTIC FAN LINE DISCONNECTION
A6D4 LOCKING RELAY, UNLOCKING (NEED RELAY LOCATION TO REPLACE)
A559 POWER BEEN SWITCH OFF (NOT SURE WHAT THIS MEANS

THESE ARE THE MAIN THREE I WANT TO WORK ON AND FIX ASAP. ANY HELP I WOULD APPRECIATE.

Hi, just wondering if you’ve made any progress with this?

Check battery age. Often these odd behaviours are because an old battery. A charge will not help. If you end up getting a new battery, you have to programme it to the car.

O ok thank you, right now my trunk is not opening so am unable to check that. For some reason it don't want to open with the key or from the inside of the car. I'm not sure if its because one of the microswitch that am going to change soon so the roof would open.

Kinda weird the boot won't unlock with the key. BMWs. Go figure. (Just one of the 36 gizmos that do nothing to the Ultimate Driving Machine, and when they fail, and fail they do, it's a pain in the arse. But that's another gripe.)

If your Zed has a ski door, I 'think', you may be able to open if from the cabin and pull the emergency boot release.

If the battery is over six years, and you don't know how the previous owner drove and maintained the battery, consider it kaput. That will be the first thing to tackle. Once programmed, re-run the scanner, and clear all codes. Going forward, put the car/battery on a good tender once a month to recharge to 100% and desulfate the battery. Our Zed is driven just 2-3 time per week, and every month the charge level is in the 70s %. Periodic recharges should, in theory, extend the life of the battery by 2-3 years.

I’d replace the relevant fuses..sounds like one or more are blown…and/or use the power access point in the engine bay to charge the battery and check its voltage immediately after charge..

Shooting from the hip, me thinks that if OP can start the engine with jumper cables, he may be able to open the boot.

Yes I can turn and run the car with no issue at all. My roof wont open because of a microswitch but dont know if thats the reason why my truck wont open. O wish i knew the relevant fuses so I can check it.

Try 61,72,73,79.

Worth noting, it seems fuse diagrams change from e89 model to model.

That is not correct!. Fuses only differ due to different components built into the car.

That's the key to some of your troubles, not all! A lack of any sensor signal due to a typically broken wire in the rear roof shell stops any roof functionality as well as the trunk locking system.

Well, why don't you bring this Z4 to a BMW dealer for an initial check, if you don't have any knowledge about this car?

I haven't took it because I'm trying to fix as much as I can myself to save a bit of money.

I checked the fuses and I notice that fuse 73 was missing so I'm going to place a new one. All the other fuses were ok. Also fuse #27 for the Idrive is also good.
