Washing a Z4
The owners manual has a long procedure for preparing a car for a wash summarized:
Auto Wash • Insert Remote into ignition • Transmission to Neutral • Release parking brake • Turn off engine • Leave remote in ignition-so vehicle can roll Park is engaged when key is removed from ignition If I'm sitting in the car, can't I jest leave it in neutral? New Z4 owner--Larry |

Keep in mind that some of the car washes where you sit in the car and it pulls you through aren't really built for low cars. My Z4 is on the stock M Sport adaptive suspension and after the one time through where it bottomed out on a few things on the way through I decided it wasn't worth it...

I do not take my Z through any automatic wash n' scratch In the winter, I will take my black 535 but the spring/summer/fall is a fresh polish and hand wash only. |
