Closing Operator's Screen

Hi all. I just took delivery of a 2016 z4Sdrive28i with 23,000 miles on it. I am loving learning the "ins and outs" of my new vehicle, with one exception. When I start the car, the operator's screen immediately opens and the navigation map is displayed. So far, so good. However, when I turn off the car, the screen remains open/up and the map continues to be displayed. On average, it stays in this condition for approximately 8 minutes, then the screen closes. It seems to me that it should close immediately when the vehicle is turned off. Am I correct? Is there some kind of adjustment which will determine how long the screen stays up, or do I have a more serious problem. Any info you can provide this newbie would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Do you press the start/stop button twice to shut everything down? If not, certain accessories (ie: the radio) will remain on for a period of time. I don't have nav, so I don't know if that's one of them.

i guess you are right. if i press the start/stop button once it remains up but if i press it twice it goes down with all equipment shut off including radio.

since i dont fancy the screen is up and distract me during my driving, i set one of those custom button to shut the screen with just one touch.
