It is quite clear a Heisman frontrunner has appeared in the game. It's JT Barrett. It's quite clear who the best RB is in the B1G, it's JK.

It's quite clear how suspect Penn State was. 280 total yards after getting gifts from Ohio State and the refs.

I could see a 1 loss PSU getting the nod over any other 1 loss team, except Oklahoma who beat OSU. If your only loss is by 1 point to OSU, you are still alive. Especially since undefeated teams keep going down(TCU).

Those SEC and Big10 championship games are going to be huge...if Wis and Georgia can go in those games undefeated.

We could be in for one messy situation.

Hard for PSU to get in if they don't even play for conference championship. How do they get in over a 1-loss Clemson if Clemson wins it's conference or a 1-loss Georgia that loses conference championship to Alabama? For that matter, how about a 1-loss Notre Dame if they win out?

kudos to Barrett he executed well but he was given way too much time in the pocket in the last 5 minutes

That is the messy situation I was referring to. Also a possible 1 loss Oklahoma and Wisconsin(Ok St also depending how big12 shakes out). Clemson loss to 4-3 Syracuse, is tough to swallow. When comparing to PSU’s one point loss to what will be the number 2 ranked team. If Georgia runs the table and loses to Bama in championship game, it will depend how bad they lose...I guess? ND, I wouldn’t begin to think were they fit in. Big last game of the year against Stanford. It feels like we are headed for a giant clusterf*ck.

What do you expect Penn State to do? They have the supposed Heisman frontrunner and supposed best O-line and supposed best offense in the B1G. You run the ball when you're up. Ohio State's d-line is the best in the country and contained the QB and Barkley.

I'm guessing the first playoff poll will have two Big Ten teams and two SEC teams. We are in for a great finish.

I won't say it's impossible but think PSU needs help to get in. Undefeated or one-loss SEC, Big 10 and ACC champs will be hard to pass over for PSU. A one-loss ND would almost certainly be in as well. One-loss PAC 12, Big 12 or other conference runner ups will also warrant equal or greater consideration as PSU and PSU doesn't have a signature win this season. Too much football left to figure out all permutations of what can happen when someone loses but just don't see how you can conclude PSU has a chance without help at this juncture.

PSU wasnt really able to run against OSU the entire game and most of it was the QB scrambling & option

then to play prevent defense against them and leave their QB time in the pocket was even more suicide
oh well congrats to OSU in the playoffs the lions are sittin this one out barely from just outside.. theyre not gonna let 2 big10 teams into the playoffs.. OSU goes assuming they run the board the rest of the way

I think first will have 2 SEC, ND, and Clemson.

Of course that will arouse the masses in an endless discussion of whether you should have 2 from the same conference. Luckily, it's the last CFP poll that counts. SEC champ, B1G championship, ND OR Clemson (but not both), and Big 12.

I would be so pissed if they give Clemson and ND a spot. It rewards ND for playing a light quasi ACC schedule without having to play Clemson.

I think ND's chance of winning out is near zero tho

Lots of football to be played so initial rankings don't mean much. Most teams in that top 10 control their own destiny and there are many games between them. Keys games over next few weeks will shake things up ahead of conference championship games.

I think I don't like the conference championship games now. Another game another chance to have something go wrong - like not win.

What will they do to UGA if they lose a close SEC Championship game? I'd be really upset if ND stays up and Georgia is dropped below them. If UGA loses a game before the SEC Championship and still win the East, then the game is a good thing - a chance to beat Alabama.
