Oh wow we are going up quick, not much resistance till 20k....

20k by this weekend? wow thats insane, some big moves from these institutions and whales..

BTC at 50k should be achievable by next years halving - things are looking better than ever

lots of people are scratching their heads - left out...train has left the station..

I think it will probably eventually be a perfectly viable alternate currency. In the meantime, it is likely to be a lot less of a cash cow than some people seem to think. A lot of the bigger companies integrate Blockchain technology into business ecosystem to stay ahead of the curve on the digital revolution. I read about Jafton Blockchain Develpment company on jafton.com/services/blockchain-development that provides effective digital solutions for companies ranging from startups to multi-million dollar corporations.

Skimmed thru this thread, quite an interesting read as it started in 2013 lol. Wonder if any of them held onto their coins. As for the MediaArtist guy, I'm surprised he didn't delete his account after all the negativity towards bitcoin and it flying up throughout the years lol.

Many, including myself, didn't want to believe that something so speculative and intangible, based on public digital ledgers and blockchain algorithms, could store real value. For years, my tendency was inclined more towards precious metals (i.e. gold, silver) to preserve wealth ("bird in hand...", and all of that)

After years of resisting, this year I finally came to my senses and recognized, not only are cryptos not going away, they are the currency of the future. Fiat paper currencies are dying fast, and there is a push towards a global, borderless, currency with built-in smart contracts- dissolving the requirement for third party involvement.

This does not necessarily mean I wholeheartedly support the movement, only recognize this is the direction we are heading whether we like it or not. By recognizing this at this point in time, people actually have a possibility to get in ahead of the massive wave of adoption that will eventually come.

That is super interesting, John Meller who drives a Tesla. Can you tell me more about what Ripple is? I am not familiar. Are you saying Ripple will get to $20,000 by end of year? If so, I am ready to invest in a major fashion.

Ripple is junk. While it is a digital currency, it is not a crypto in the sense that most are.

Don't believe me? Go and try to mine it.

Bitcoin

Bitcoin rally is not going to be like 2017.... Glad I got in... I did what Guggenheim investment (240Billion company) is doing... 10% of my holdings... the next few weeks is going to be crazy since everybody will be putting in there... the New GOLD..... Guggenheim said they see $400,000... I see $100,000 being broken very soon...

this is in no way financial advise... this is just for entertainment purposes only... comments welcomed...

These are artificially propped up prices thanks to shady exchanges that most people are choosing to ignore along with plenty of money laundering operations that are loving the influx of clean money.

Why not just get toddlers hooked on heroin and meth? It's a more ethical way of making money.

Unfortunately the stock market is over valued due to govt printing... Gold price is controlled also... Major financial institutions are investing in bitcoin... the rush is on... Money is only worth what people think it's worth as with everything in life... right now everyone is thinking bitcoin... when major financial companies are investing, this will end up stabilizing the price... for now just watch it climb...

^ this. I think bitcoin is a terrible way to do any type of illegal money laundering because of the public ledger. As big time companies jump in way too late...they're just going to bring the price up along with the shorts (although I would never want to short something that's currently going parabolic). Also as fiat currency is down trending and collapsing, the rise of digital currency is inevitable.

It's just not sustainable in the long run. How can any currency become viable while actually using it as intended as currency is essentially shorting it with potentially huge loss of potential gain? Get in early, bail before it actually becomes currency.

My gut feeling is $400,000 (gold market cap) is not the high... I see more towards a million +...
