I thought the partnership between AM and AMG did not go through and that the 5.2L V12 was crafted by AM, can someone confirm?

Awesome, I am more excited about the upcoming Vantage than the DB11, will they borrow the transmission too or that has not been announced?

If the roof side panels matched the car it wouldn't look too bad. But that is just me - I don't like the different color panels on the Audi R 8 either. Ruins the car for me.

Geneva "Best in Show"
So the consensus is it's a good looking car, despite what a smattering of BMW forum people think. http://www.bbc.com/autos/story/20160...s-best-in-show |

Regardless of what people may think, this new model is proving to be a financial success for Aston Martin.
More than 1,400 orders have been made for this new DB11 car http://www.worldcarfans.com/11603061...a-strong-start |

I'm glad I don't have a beautiful v12 Vanquish to defend. It makes it easier for me to simply look at this new DB11 and enjoy everything about it.

Show me a publication that says the car is ugly. Truly ugly. Until then, BBC is a far greater consensus than you have provided. Keep in mind how prolific the BBC is around the world. |

That's not what "consensus" means. We (people on automotive forums) are the general car-buying public and the people who would actually buy the car, not the BBC. Regardless of how highly regarded the BBC is, the piece is still the opinion of a few (likely British) editors reviewing the most classically British sports car. The real news would be if they, too, thought it was underwhelming. I've never started thinking anything is beautiful because of any published opinion. Also, the car isn't "truly ugly", it's just not Aston Martin-beautiful. A shame considering they've been the benchmark of beauty for the last decade or so.

I like it a lot but don't think it looks particularly exotic or elegant like I feel most Astons look. One of those things where in 1 year you get used to the new look/feel and there isn't an issue.
Do have to say though, the classic DB9 is so freaking classy and beautiful, this looks more like a Jag to me. |
