Basically 25% over sticker which already has a hefty margin.

To each their own but I would feel a bit like a bitch I guess.

But, I'm older and say "get off my lawn" a lot.

The M6 will continue to be in the stable.
I think a GT4 would be a good replacement for your C5. I owned a C5 Z06 as well, and the GT4 is far more robust on track and very go kart like. Change of direction and chassis feedback is among the best I have experienced. Brakes are rediculous as Porsche uses the same brakes on the GT3/GT3 RS which are heavier and have much more horsepower.

I like having the M3 and GT4 since they are both fun in different ways, and I suspect your M6 and GT4 would be a good combination as well. Also try a 991 GT3 if you can find one, I would get one over a GT4 but allocations are hard to obtain.

Another thing to note is that the M3/M4 come alive with R comps like are on the GT4. Michelin Cup2s are much more fun even on the street.

X2. Great car at $100k not so much with "market adjustment" adding 25% --$125k.

From looking at the online configurator looks like the GTS starts at $115k, comes pretty well equipped and would let you put on $10k worth of options for the same price.

I dont understand, you preferred the M235i because of its weight and quckness over and M4 but yet it weighs more and its slower. Am I missing something?

I mean I drove all of the above as well, and I very much agree the M235i felt great and nimble especially compared to my 335i. BUt I also drove an M4 and it blows the M235i out of the water in every category unless that is you just prefer the feel of a smaller car...

Porsche Newport Beach has a carmine red on cars.com listed at 106,105 list and asking price.
Most dealers put not priced on cars with market adjustment.

That's the one with the yellow sold sign hanging from the visor. Very nice options list and everything I wanted, except for the color. It was available last week Tuesday and gone by Thursday.

I was never a fan of Porsche, let alone the 911, but the GT4 was interesting because of the concept and design.

My only exposure to the three was at the M Car Control Clinic on a very tight course. The power of the M3/M4 never came into play.

Its just hard to see the value in paying such a margin over MSRP.

The main problem you have is you're in California. When I bought my Z06 back in 2006, Cali dealers were marking them up $20K whereas on the East Coast, I bought mine at MSRP. The dealership also said he had gotten at least one phone call per day from a Cali dealership looking to buy his allocation!

Don't pay over MSRP. That's ridiculous! Yes, the GT4 is a special car, but when you're looking at a price of $125K that's opening you up to many more options (AMG GTS?).

I wish my buddy Art would chime in since he owns the blue GT4 that Helix13 posted a pic of. From what I gathered, he paid MSRP for his car.

Do yourself a favor and call around.

Based on your "wants" the GT4 is exactly what you're looking for.

speaking of the gt4, i wish the gt4 or even the gts was available when i got my cs. i'm not sure if i would have paid the price tag but it's nice to think abt. i've gotta say, i'm really pleased with the CS though. then again, i'm coming from a massive car even if it had a twin turbo v8. how nimble the cs is with that simple 325 hp - so damn good.

Unfortunately, the allocations on these toys are all in the high traffic/income areas...Miami, NYC, Chicago, SFO, LA/OC. When I called, Newport Porsche had 2 GT4's marked up $25K. 3 days later, they had one and it didn't have the PCCB or sport seats.

Porsche won't have a problem selling them, but just not to me.

This is the conclusion I've come to as well. It's now a matter of when, and not if.

HP has to be usable and in a light car, it's trickier to manage power delivery. The C5 is approx 3,200 lbs and has too much IMO. She likes to kick her tail out too much.
