My Z4 35i decal designs, for non-M. FIRST DRAFT
I spent a long time searching for shops that had exactly what I need for decals, and this is the first draft I came up with. I have the VMR black rims on so this is how my car actually will look like.
Below are photoshop renders from photo, the original photo for the front is downloaded from another member, I didn't take that picture but it matches my car exactly. I hope he doesn't mind. lightly smoked lights and tail-lights, CF wrapped grills and front/rear bumpers, CF front reflectors. nurburgring decal for rear window Advan reflective triangle decal M motorsports decal for windscreen Etc etc Please let me know how you feel about this, as this is only the first draft, before I put down the order. Do you feel it's busy, or clean, nice or rice? Cheers,

Too busy / rice for my personal tastes. I prefer sleek, classy and understated. Plus I detest applying any 'M' decals, badges, etc to a car that is in no way an 'M' vehicle. Again, my personal tastes.

Nothing ricey about it. I think the use of iconic M colors are an m-tastic expression by an m-thusiast. I have to say no to any implied name change to the model. We can't confuse our series with those fast cars with backseats.
I'm sure you would turn every members head when you drive by.

The Z doesn't get much love as it is, misleading with M stuff will just add to the fire. Plus I think it's flat out tacky. Just take that ridiculous looking Z4 off the trunk and keep it clean. Those pictures just makes the car look cheap. Sorry to be blunt, but that's coming from my perspective.
If you were to race it in a closed circuit, then I think this look will fit in. |

Thanks for all the honest opinions! this is exactly why I wanted to post here, went over board and now dailed WAY BACK to this version here. Not sure if you guys still think it's too much, but here's the 2nd draft.
thanks again, I will learn quickly. very glad i've not done anything to the car yet.
