Today's masterful qualifying performance from Max reminds me of the era of Ayrton, Schumi and dare I say it, Lewis . That was breathtaking. Remember this track is the most challenging in the F1 world!
I'm expecting a Max podium or even a win tomorrow.

The FIA is going slow here in SPA ! Must be like rocket science for the FIA ...

In normal circumstances MAX with his jaw dropping pole is P14 and Charlie P15 at the start grid ..

It's amazing that Chas ended up behind Max even with Ferrari's selective component additions to limit the amount of penalty points to not end up last. The speed of Max outfoxed even that bit of crafty thinking by the reds.

He told Wolff more than once that the plank changes and measurements (haha the cars I mean) would make no difference to the 18's speed in fact an adjustment was made to make it quicker with the plank alteration and the silver arrows idiot is now slating his two drivers for slacking.

I guess that the constant complaining from Merc. and Russel about Ferrari and RB cheating about bottom wooden plank flexing and that the gap will be closed after the summer stop pretty much backfired.
Russel qualified well over 2 seconds slower than Max.
That is just insane! And Max just drove 9 laps total in qualifying (compared to 20 for RUS)

Lets see what tomorrow brings. If there are no crashes, it's looking very good for Max despite him being at the back of the field.
Both Alpines being so quick in qualifying is also interesting to see. Is Piastri better off at McLaren or has Alpine the better car?

When I see Max drive, I think of my absolute favorite drive of all time, Ayrton. Both were aggressive drivers always on the limit, or beyond. They seem to have very matter of fact, straight forward personalities. And both are/were totally consumed by racing. From what I hear, based on a recent podcast with a Dutch journalist, Max doesn't seem to have much going on outside the track.

I love Spa. My son says he knows this circuit better than most. Racing sim games are amazing for kids and fostering motorsports love haha

2 sec. that's after 10 laps a 20+ sec. gap . You know what that means for tomorrow once you see MAX in your mirrors ..
In other words : MAX won't take prisoners !

Currently is Alpine the faster car . Check out the P3 from Fernando
