Z4 Windshield washer suddenly stopped working
Seems I have a new project opening on my 2009 Z4 3.0. I drove into the garage one day last week, and noticed the windshield washer stopped working. I used it earlier that day to clean the window. Today, 8/7, I pulled the pump from the tank. I connected a rubber band from the steering wheel to the washer lever, to keep the pump powered. ( dreaded having to get to the fuse panel behind the glove box) I took voltage reading at the plug, I got 10.2 vdc, with no load on the circuit. I think the pump died, so I ordered one through Pelican Parts. The new one will be a breeze to install. It will be here in a week. I'll keep up with the results.

The Joy of a repair
I got the new pump from Pelican Parts today, Monday, 8/15/2022. As I figured, it was a breeze to install. I had a little problem with the output fitting. I finally worked it out though. Once plugged in, I tested it, and splish splash water on the windshield. All fixed for now. Time now for a full clean-up, clay bar, de-ox, tar removal, and then touch-up, and finally wax for Winter.
