Those poor saps in Chicago. I hope they don't blow it for the fans.

Maddon made a big mistake in taking out Hendricks, IMO... Looks like that might've cost them.

Man this WS reminds me of the 1991 fall classic and that was the best one I've seen to date but this one could surpass it.

A home run here and it'll be like the '75 Red Sox game with the Carlton Fisk HR. Except that one didn't win the series for them. Still, one of the great games of all time.

That's exactly what I said to my buddies. Cleveland were struggling against him. Don't think it was smart to bring back Chapman in the 9th either. The gamble paid off though.

If Chapman comes in bottom of the 10th, they deserve to lose even though I'm pulling for the Cubbies.

Great win for the Cubs and their loyal fans.
Game 7 was one of the most exciting baseball games I've seen. It had everything, including a rain delay. Cleveland didn't give up; the Cubs just wanted it more I guess. I hope the fans in Chicago party safely tonight. |

Having Betances and Chapman as the 8th-9th inning combo is better than having some random dude and Betances as the 8th-9th. He was severely overused in the playoffs, though how much will he command?

3 Es and 2 past balls in the first 5 innings. How the hell did the cubbies hold on? Then when Hendricks gets pulled for a single walk, I started to think the goat was over in the first-base dugout.
When Santana came up in the 9th, I sent out a text: Kipnis walk-off. Man, that was a nerve-wracking game, since I jumped on the Chicago bandwagon after they beat the Dodgers. |
