Kudos to Tito and the Tribe. Great team. If it comes down to the Cubs and the Tribe, I'm not sure who I'd like to see win it.

DAMN we put on an extremely poor showing last night. I thought I was watching my son's team play the second of a double-header in the heat with all the poor decisions the Dodgers made.

well Urias would probably meet the age limit to play on your son's team too.

Almost. But my son plays "down" because he really isn't that big, and his parents support the league pretty well The fall league evolved from u-16 to u-something less than their kid since we aren't really checking birth certificates

At times he plays up too. Over the summer he was an intern doing the scoring and field maintenance with the college kids. A few times they needed a body, so he went in. Even got a hit with a wood bat during one of his "appearances"

oh great. Any Danny Almonte sightings?

Serious question: what age did your kid start playing organized ball?

He was 5, and he still plays with one of those kids on the first team. The other father and uncle were coaches until age 11 or so, then I took my son for 2 years when another coach asked me to help. I just wanted him to have another coach take a fresh look, because he had been tagged as a second baseman. Once given the chance, he switched to catcher and was pretty good except the throw back to the pitcher. He also broke out into the outfield and has amazing breaks on balls due to his time being a goalie in soccer.

Cubbie just need to take one of the games at home now and they're in. I'd love a Cubs/Indians WS.

I love how they have erected a shrine to Jobu, and left rum & stuff for him.

Should be a great World Series but I'm rooting for the Cubs. Outside of being an Indians fan, how can you not root for a team that last won the World Series before the Titanic was built?

Kudos to the Cubbies. I'm really looking forward to the World Series. I like both teams, so I'll just sit back and enjoy the games and be happy no matter who wins.

Some of those errors made by the Dodgers again reminded me of my 17yo son's team.

Let's go CUBBIES!!!!!

Well, I suppose I'll be rooting for the Indians. I recall many people in my home state of Ohio being devastated back in the late 90s with the WS collapse.

I didn't care about MLB back then. But I get it now. They should have Jose Mesa throw out the first pitch in Cleveland, and have Bartman sacrifice a goat on the mound in Chicago in game 3. You know, no hard feelings and all.
