This cover is NOT Aluminum.
It is called Titanium, and is made of plastic.

It does match the Stick-shift knob and Aluminum trim (if you have any) quite nicely though, and its a pretty easy install. Cost anywhere between $40-$50....part # is 32306771250.

I think you should get this one instead!

But knowing BMW, it'll be more than $50.......

It will look wrong if you add it to a car with aluminium, since in real life there is a color difference

Says who?

I installed the Euro-E90 s.w. cover and it looks great.
You can't tell the difference in the color. Of course, I don't have Aluminum trim, I have Poplar but,
the Titanium cover blends in well with the stick-shift & the aluminum pedals.

The E92's cover on the other hand, looks like it IS aluminum, but
I'm not sure.

Edit: Yes, I meant Euro-E90 cover. Duh....

I was reffering to the E90 cover ( maybe you had a typo above ? )

Know a guy here that got one and the difference was very apparent against the Alu trim, so he didnt fit it.
I looked at the part myself and it didnt look nice in his car.

But other peoples opinions may differ

Hmmmm.... that is odd.
I guess the Aluminum trim is substantially different from the plastic then.....
but you wouldn't notice if you look at the shift-knob.

Do the European E90's have Titanium plastic on the dash?

Titanium Colored plastic is standard

Then Aluminium and Wood optional

Remember the Aluminium is "brushed" and the plastic one is smooth

Well I'm certainly glad that I went with the Poplar trim & not Aluminum then.
I thought for sure those pictures were Aluminum and that BMW would never put plastic there.......

I don't doubt him either.
From the photos of the Euro cars though, I thought it was
Aluminum trim on the dashboard. It looks like the shift-knob,
the steering wheel & the dash all match.

Solution: Wait for the E92 steering wheel cover. Has to be aluminum.

Hi, I can also confirm this. The Titanum plastic and the brushed Aluminum differs very much in color and looks. They will not be a good match.

I have alu interior, but I have aso seen cars with the standard titanum
plastic, and IMO it is a big difference.

Regards
