Lately I haven't had too much issue with scammers, but people who agree on a price then you meet them locally somewhere and they don't have enough money. It has happened to me 3 times. I usually tell them we agreed on a price and if you don't have it then sorry I can't help you. Maybe it is a poor attempt at negotiating? I had one guy magically find $20 more in his glovebox when I told him to pound sand.

Wait, if I pound the sand, $20 will appear in my glove box? I've been dong it wrong for so long

Took my CL list down. F them. I'm done selling on CL. Got exactly zero leads via CL, but 100% of my scam attempts came from them. Cycle Trader has produced one serious lead and I have 13 bids on Ebay.

I love the people who just send you an e-mail with a low ball amount, and nothing else.

Say you have something listed for $500. They will just send an e-mail that says "$200".

Their scam is that you take the low ball bid and they turn around and try to sell it at a higher price.
