FS: BMS oil catch can for E89 Z4

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:

Item Interest
For sale is a BMS oil catch can that has been adapted to fit the E89 Z4. (It started life as a catch can for an 535i, but the tubing was cut down specifically to fit the E89 Z4.)

You can read about the use of an 535i BMS OCC for the Z4 here:
http://e89.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=908361

This catch can will work perfectly with a very inexpensive, elegant clamp solution (not included) suggested by a member in this post:

Not bad at all. The "hardest" part is removing the OEM clips from the factory PCV plumbing. The clips can be a bit stubborn sometimes. Even so, you're looking at maybe 20-30 minutes start to finish? Maybe less.

Do you need a jack? Do you need to cut anything? Or is it just plug-and-play? I'm pretty new at doing things to the car...

Correct. It's pretty straight-forward and does not require you to jack the car up at all. At most you need to remove the plastic engine cover, which just requires removing four easily accessible allen screws. Everything else is pretty much just removing clips, discarding the OEM hoses, and slipping the hoses from the OCC on.

Sounds doable. Unsure if it's something for me since I don't plan on keeping the car past 2 more years though... it's just to prevent carbon buildup, right?

Yes, sorry gents. The item has sold. I updated the OP to reflect that fact. Sorry for any confusion!
