Injector warranty

My #2 injector is starting to leak. Anyone know if the 2012 MY has any extended warranty? Looks like an index 9

Check with your dealer. My wife's 2010 535 has a 10 year warranty on the injectors - parts and labor.

I'll call the dealer tomorrow. I just like to be informed before making the call.

Same car, same year. The answer is NO. My #2 went bad this past summer at 65K miles. FYI, the current index is 12 and anything below 11 is incompatible, so all the injectors in the same bank have to be replaced (you can't replace just #2). So your least costly option is to replace #1, 2, and 3. It's an easy DIY. LMK if you need instructions.

That's what I thought. What Index did you have?

Idly enough, this was the same cylinder that had a failed ignition coil last year. Coincidence?

What reason did they give for denying warranty service?

Just called, they did not extend the injector warranty for the 2012 Z4.
