That's easy, just need to set two parameters to aktiv. You can have remote coding by Alpinemms or other remote coders if you don't feel comfortable writing on your ECU. All you need is a decent laptop, teamviewer and internet.

Video In Motion
- Windshield Wipers complete full cycle when ignition is shut off
- Remove iDrive [ACCEPT] screen
- Remove Seatbelt warning gongs
- Unlock doors when key is ejected
- Open/Close windows with Key FOB
- Allow windows to continue rolling up while door is open

TO name a few
I read that the Video in Motion uses a CD instead of a cable. Maybe some of the other things have a way to use CD to change them, too, instead of a cable?

So basically to increase the opening speed of the roof like the newer models just use NCS Expert, go to the ZCTM module and replace the wert_03 to wert_04
Hi Constant

Did you get this to work? I just swapped 6 injectors and coded them with INPA.
I you made I work then I will try my luck with NCS Epert too.

Best regards
Stefan

Yes, i did. I also sent the parameters to Ivini-Apps and they incorporated it into their latest version of BMWhat application for android. I would recommend to get the app because its much faster process which minimizes the risk of something going wrong during coding. You can set it up to open the top up to 50km/h, but i recommend not to exceed openign roof more than 30/40km/h cause downforce from wind will stress the mechanism.
Best of luck Stefan and my hello's to amazing Denmark

Edit: which version of injectors did you use? there is a third revised (better?) version that just came out.

Hi Constant. I have read this thread regarding programming and I was wondering if you had any success in using your knowledge and k+dcan cable to pull the fsc code and update the navigation maps.

I have read conflicting info that the Navigation maps for the e89 can be updated without an expensive icom cable, but haven't been able to confirm it one way or another.

Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

What do you mean by "cheat sheet"?
Coding an e89 is not a case of just putting a code into a laptop and thinking that's it, you need to tell the car that the new module is there and then code it in, for example there are some 60 steps to coding Cruise Control after you've done the physical installation.
Basically unless someone has gone to the trouble of writing down the whole sequence for you then it's a lot of research to be done before you even set foot into the car!

There are the likes of "Carly for BMW" that can perform "short-cut" programming of various items, but this is limited to certain features that already have their modules installed from the factory and even then it won't do everything.

Carly will do most of what anyone wants to do. Look out on their website for a list if things that can be done. It's not perfect (or able to do "everything"), but it's easy.

And holy moley Batman - old thread revival!!

For programming check out Bimmergeeks ProTool app. You can use a cable from your phone to OBD-II, or get a wireless dongle. Either way. There is decent support on the Facebook Protool page, as well. App works both on iPhone and Android.

I used it, for example, to code out EDC on my car which now runs a 3DMMotorsport Öhlins coil-over configuration.

Yes, cheat sheet. A print out of what each code means. I do not read German so for me to code I would need a conversion sheet.

Although this is not e89 specific, the codes are the same (Obviously quite a few on here aren't available for the e89!)…..

https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=717103

Also if you go on either realoem or bmwfans.info then seach for the relevant part and at the end of the description line it'll give you the VO code (circled on attachment)
