I grilled a thinnish steak on the BBQ at very low heat. Came out decent. Although the best is when we do a reverse sear on a good t-bone from a butcher in our oven.

Wife does a home-made "south asian" marinade for chicken, which comes out great on a charcoal BBQ - juicy, tender and flavorful (not too spicy).

I find charcoal hard to control - sometimes food is a bit singed or could be a bit under-cooked in colder weather. Compromise is the intense smoky flavour.

Grill Rescue to clean?

I just bought one with the scraper, and 2 extra cleaning heads. We'll see if steaming really works.

lol. yeah I suppose those are some important things to have in order to succeed in this venture.

I haven't done this at all. I've been mostly hiking, I did the honolulu bay sailboat tour (which was pretty cool).

Nice. I've got the 5 in 1 indoor grill and I've been debating on making steaks with it. Judging by your pictures it looks like they come out pretty well.

It makes a great steak. Not as good as an open flame or broiler, but it’s convenient enough to where the difference is negligible imo.

Good to know. I live in an apartment and my grill has been sitting out on my patio covered up because we aren't allowed to use grills in the complex.

You're right nothing beats the open flame of a grill but I'll take a good tasting steak in my own place over going out to grab one.

I’ve been recommending it left and right. Curious to see what others think. Let me know what your thoughts are afterwards.

I haven’t lived in an apartment for years but when I did they never allowed any grills with open flames. Same for condos as far as I know. I expect main reason is to avoid someone doing something dumb and burning down the entire complex.

I'm a blob of something different. It's why I would work so well.
