Broken Plastic Clip from Top Shelf
Today I found half of the plastic clip on the Top Shelf broken and out of place, meaning that now I have to be extra careful to place the shelf correctly in its place and it is temporarily holding on one clip only. Luckily it is due for a service tomorrow so I'll mention it to the dealer but I doubt they'll have the part in stock.
Should I refrain from going into convertible mode? Does the hard top actually "rest" on the shelf or is it simply a precaution to prevent any damage to the top??? A quick reply would help because I am supposed to be enjoying my z4 for a whole month in the Bel Paese and I'd obviously want to drive with the top down if possible!!! Thanks for your help. |

If you search this forum, there's a very clever and cheap fix for this. Like Home Depot cheap.
