Red screen

Hi guys
Hoping you can help with this problem. I recently got a 2011 Z89 3.5is. Really pleased with the car but one problem has surfaced. Sometimes when starting the car the I drive screen goes between the BMW logo and a red screen.. during this time there is no sound from the radio. The problem lasts for maybe 30 seconds to 1 minute then the radio comes on as normal. This happens once in every 5 times that I’m in the car. Once the radio starts it sounds and operates fine (it’s the pro one with 11 speakers)and there are no further issues. Is there a fix for this that anybody knows? Haven’t seen any other posts.

Mine did the same but the issue seemed to disappear after a few weeks. Curious if you find the cause.

Well I went onto the font of all knowledge.. youtube 😃 one of the owners had the same issue. He performed a reset of the CC which I think is the amp/controller for the radio/screen.. with the ignition on press the volume button in and hold it until the screen goes blank, it will then reset itself and problem solved!

But this "reset" is a simple reboot of the CIC that always happens, when you unlock your car and open the door. The radio button has to be pressed for about 20-30 seconds.
