Upgraded Spyder Headlights

Upgraded the stock headlights to the new Spyder Auto headlights. So far I am loving the look. They are super bright!

What brand and where did you order? Easy enough to do yourself? Need reprogramming? Did you follow a guide?

Haha, sorry for the questions!

The brand is Spyder. They are easy enough to install, but had shop do it. They are plug and play did not require any reprogramming. I would not recommend Alibaba. I got mine from Pro Tuning Lab . com

When the OEMs on my E85 failed I installed a pair of Spyders. They turned out to be cheep lights. Wiring connectors were poor quality and I felt the need to add a chafe guard on the bare wires. They also did not align properly, tried to focus the lights on a garage wall and there was nothing I could do to get them correct. I'm sure they would have failed in inspection in California or any state that actually checked the alignment.

My E85 had Halogen bulbs and the lenses were not focused correctly.

Good luck.

I heard those were common issues with the previous generation

Awesome, I just ordered mines and it is arriving tomorrow. Can't wait to get them installed over the weekend.

Did you need to code out the adaptive headlights? I just installed mines and getting the error code on the dash.

I've been using the upgraded spyder headlights as well. One issue I had was it seems like the HID D1S bulb doesn't seem to lock into the housing the way the OEM did. The result was that my beam pattern is a bit uneven, did you experience the same issue? I've order new D1S bulbs to see if it will correct the issue.
