NS is great ... and doesn't require a front plate either. Not sure what you mean about "all those raccoons" though. Sure we have raccoons but they're everywhere.

We get raccoons in the back yard every once in a while. My favorites are the family of squirrels that live back there. They are highly entertaining. Silly little acrobats is what they are. They fly through the air from tree to tree.

I have friendly little squirrels that I feed right on my deck. I even built them a little picnic table. They're great fun to watch. I've had some that would take walnuts right from my hand.
This one I called Nut. If you look close you can see that he has filled his water dish with pine cones. That's one of the reasons for his name.

That looks pretty cool!

Have you ever seen them 'sploot?' Pretty funny. They almost look dead. They do it when they get too hot. Common here when we get our 100F+ summer temps.

I've seen raccoons do that when it's hot. Especially mother raccoons who are nursing. We have a concrete retaining wall out back and they will lay out on that with their legs hanging down.

And speaking of raccoons, this was shot out my living room windows a few years back.

Yes I've seen them do that. Contrary to popular southern US belief, it does get that hot here although not near as often as it does down south.

Caught this at the right time, got it for $9 with Prime. I'll never need any trim fasteners again.

Even at $20 bucks that is a life time steal! Good find. Thank you.

Hopefully this will eliminate my turntable skipping when the wife walks by... yes, the wife. She weighs 105 lbs, and an NFL offensive lineman has a quieter walk than she does.

Apple TV 4K 128GB

One of my previous generation ATVs was acting up, and I wanted the latest one anyway for the new HomeKit capabilities. I also wanted to check out Masters of the Air on Apple TV+ without having to subscribe, just in case I didn't like the show. This new ATV came with 3 months of free Apple TV+, so that sealed the deal. And the show is awesome, so I'll probably keep the subscription going after the 3 months are up.

Just bought a super comfortable chair from La-Z-Boy. Really going to help with my lower back. Can't wait for it to be delivered.

I hope it works out. We bought a non-reclining chair from La-Z-Boy once and the chair they delivered sucked out loud. It wasn't anywhere near as comfortable as the one in the store. The bottom cushion and support were awful, so I sunk in way past the point where my arms could comfortably rest on the armrests. They tried swapping out the bottom cushion insert with the one that was in the chair at the store, and that helped a little bit, but it was clearly the underlying support that was at fault. They offered to take the chair back, but wanted a 15% restocking fee. We paid $900 for the chair, so that 15% would have meant we were out $135 with nothing to show for it. We kept the chair and I put a folded up old blanket under the cushion. It still wasn't ideal, but I got used to it. That was maybe 18 years ago and we've never considered La-Z-Boy again.
