Mini Bikes!

Anyone else here have a mini bike? I bought a Monster Moto 212cc Mini Bike about 6 months ago and it's a blast to ride.

What do you have? Any mods? Lets see some pics! Will post a new pic of mine soon.

My custom built pitbike, based on a CRF50 platform. Anodized BBR perimeter frame, 160cc PitKing, Marzocchi forks, etc. Waaaaaaaayyyy too much cash dumped into this thing.

The golf cart store now sells electric pit bikes. I want to stop and check them out so bad but I'm fighting the temptation

Mini bikes are so much fun. I used to ride dirt bikes and had a mini bike or two, but now my area has become so anti-atv it's crazy. If someone sees a pickup truck with a dirt-bike in the back they call the cops.

Florida, what mods done to yours?

I built one for a friend's son, it has a 212cc predator with billet flywheel, billet rod, governor removed, header pipe, cone filter, and a different cam/valve springs. It was a few years ago so I forget the specs on the cam and springs, but OMB Warehouse was where I got the parts. I had to set the throttle screw back a bit because it would pull wheelies too easily with his son on it. My friend's wife saw how fast it went and she yelled at me.

I'm having hip surgery in a few weeks. Once I recover I will get active again. I can barely walk right now, let alone fall off a mini bike

I wish you were close enough so that I could have you service my pit bike. The shifter needs to be lowered. Basically I have to flex my left foot all the way even to shift it. Plus a lot of owners of the Apollo X 18 switch carburetors out and get a lot more performance.Nobody around here wants to work on a Chinese bike

That sucks, the Chinese bikes are pretty much copies of the Hondas and Suzukis. I'd bet you could swap the carburetor yourself. If you find out what jet size the carburetor is you can get the next size up mini-drill bit and open the jet up a bit to get more fuel. They are usually jetted really lean from the factory for emissions.

On the Predator and Honda GX engines they sell new jets online you can put into the carburetor that do the same thing. I needed one for the bike I built for my friend's son otherwise it would surge a bit. The Coleman in your pic has more aftermarket support though. You can build one of those out to ~13hp which is actually a bit scary to ride.

The documentary posted is awesome btw, saw that a few weeks back .

Mods on mine are all the mods you listed minus the internal mods…. Intake, exhaust, bigger jet, no governor. It's quick enough for now - does around 45-50 wot.

The Coleman is really built for flat dirt trails. However my boys treat it like they were in Supercross. Both fenders fell off and the brake handle broke so there was no brakes.

I've got a Gromski right now, even though they aren't considered mini-bikes. Cam'd, Finbro ECU, Racin Bros suspension, Arrow pipe, rear sets, bars, Pirellis. This thing has been more fun than any of my big bikes, and its a blast on the track.

I've been watching for the right deal on a KLX110 or similar.

This makes me want to get another one, Ill have to get dual rail though. I see dudes putting around them at the track/campsite all of the time and they even have mini-moto races at most of the tracks.

Definitely get one.. They are all over OfferUp and are fun as hell to work on. Mine needed new brakes, chain, clutch, tires... there is very likely a local mini bike facebook group in your area with someone who can help you with the mods as well.

Ordered upgraded valve springs, billet flywheel, billet rod, smaller 62 tooth rear sprocket, and a .265 racing cam shaft.
