Helical LSD is $2k ... doubt you'll find one coming out of a car, but I guess worth asking.

Yep,but where to do installation of the unit?Local transmission shops in NYC area dont want to deal with welded stupid thing(differential).Closest location is VAC in PA and they quoted me 2500 for labor alone and plus shipping or dropping car at their location for 4 days(160 miles away)

Helical LSD is a complete pumpkin. You send them yours as an exchange, after you pull it out. So it is a) empty fluid from existing pumpkin b) unbolt half shafts, c) unbolt driveshaft (specialty tool ... can be had cheap, talked about on the forum here), d) unbolt from chassis, ... then reverse you drop the new one in and fill with fluid. A decent mechanic can do this - not rocket science. Maybe jts1981 can chime in since he's in the NYC area. If you get the order the pumpkin, your mechanic should be able to do it in inside of a day. I recommend you order the specialty tool and bring it to him, as he won't have it (and the factory tool is way too expensive).

could you please send me a link, since upon googling i can find only comparison of the types of LSD's but not the actual vendor providing this service.
