What did you drive before getting hooked on BMW?
Me personally I had a
1994 ford ranger 1993 Pontiac sunbird convertible 2006 f 150 fx4 2007 ford fusion sel v6 And now 09 135i Although I've had the most problems by far with my BMW it is still my favorite vehicle ive ever owned! Sometime I jut regret straying away from ford for the reliability issues I've had with my 135 Anyways just curious to see what other people have had and there compared experiences with switching to BMW. Btw I still f@&$inf love driving my 135i even after 2.5 yrs of ownership! And I always used to get bored after 6 months with past cars |

Let's be clear here; I was hooked/set on buying a BMW long before I could actually afford to do so.
First car was a '96 Dodge Stratus sedan. Some girl pulled out in front of me and totaled it. Next was a '98 Honda Civic EX sedan followed by a '00 Honda Accord EX sedan. I drove the Accord for the majority of my time in college (~5 years) and was planning to just get another (newer) Accord for money reasons. During my search I realized that an E90 330i was well within my budget ...and the rest is history. Now I drive an '06 330i, but I wish it had sport seats and I REALLY wanted a coupe. Now I have to decide if I want to A) modify the 330i B) pay off my other debts, save a little bit and trade it in for '12-'13 E92 335i in a year or so when I can afford the increased payment. |

1986 Ford Thunderbird 1990 Acura Integra GS hatchback 1996 Honda del Sol S 2001 Honda CRV LX AWD 2013 BMW X1 sDrive28i (on order) First three were hand me downs from my family. My grandparents actually gave me a 1972 Chevy Impala when I got my license but I couldn't afford to drive it or insure it so I sold it. Was cheaper to just borrow my moms car when needed. |

Before the M, I got rid of my tuned Viggen for it.
Before the 328, I got rid of my tuned CC for it. Before the CC I leased a Jetta. Fail. Before the Jetta I did the winter beater thing, sub $1000 cars with 5mts so they were still fun. The '89 Maxima: Which replaced the '89 Beretta GT(with a '90 drivetrain swap): Before I got the Viggen, I inherited my older brother's cars. '95 300ZX: and '90 Saab 9000 Turbo(automatic-fail): And before that, my first car which I kept a long time and modded a lot... '91 Beretta GT(converted from an auto to manual. Win): So, aside from my wife's wheels, that's my car-ography. I modified EVERYTHING except for the Jetta, just did not like that car.

I heart 2nd gen MR2's. I grew up knowing of a blue Turbo, a late one, maybe a '94. Then it wound up with a for sale sign and I was old enough to buy it. I walked up to it and saw it was an automatic and almost wept in sadness. After doing one auto-manual conversion in my early 20's, I swore never to do it again.
