10 was last years NYE debauchery. 90 at 7000 when used to sea level is dangerous, especially when you father smelt of elderberries!!!

The remnants of that bottle are still in the freezer at the cabin this year . . . kinda like that snake you killed and thought you might one day eat

Do you actually eat snake? I mean, there can't be that much meat unless its a really big snake right? I could see that in areas where they have anacondas / big pythons, etc...but in the States?

Just curious.

I think in retrospect I have had snake in the Caribbean - or maybe I just think I have. I've definitely had kangaroo and ostrich there. Neither of which were very good.

Never had it, although we more than once killed a rattler with every INTENTION of eating it, but somehow after a bit of time in the freezer it got thrown out. Still don't have one for the hat wrap either

Ostrich was just too dry for a burger, not enough fat.

Yeah I had ostrich and kangaroo in steak format so I didn't have the dryness issue. The taste was not great however - would not order again.

I've only had ostrich steak once and thought it was pretty good. But it may be like swordfish, which can be good or bad depending on the chef.

Very true - this was in Curacao, perhaps the chef was not very good. In general though, the food was quite good in Curacao (as far as the Caribbean goes). It wasn't really seasoned much, no sauce or anything either, maybe that was the issue too.

But I may have tried some 50 year old oktoberfest. I picked up a pint of "The Kaiser" last year, and it KICKED MY ASS! I think it sat in a warehouse for quite a while. Aftereffect was like drinking Turkey 101.......

So...a year of me begging for it, they finally picked it up in our state stores. This is the one aged 5 years. Only one they brought in.
