If you still want to order a BMW featuring M-DCT:
  • EURO spec BMW M cars: sorry, BMW does no longer build a car with M-DCT; production of the M2C and M2 CS (last cars featuring M-DCT as option) has ended in the meantime and the recently shown Birch Green M2 CS was the ultimate EURO spec F87 ever built (and it features M-DCT);
  • US spec BMW M cars: M2 CS production ends this year - M2C production ends in June 2021;
  • after June 2021: F87 and M-DCT both become history; if you still want one after June 2021, you got to check existing cars or order the parts separately for replacement/repair purposes.
Sorry to rain on your parade. It is what it is: F87 model, S55 engine and M-DCT gearbox will all be dusted and done by July 2021. All things end someday - die with memories, not dreams.

I hope they make the fuelcap door a round one, like F87 model

Looking promising...M2 need big wide fenders to make us scream 'WTF...I WANT that!"

The front fenders are good...1M style...rear fenders have room to bulge even more

With current RS4 and A45 running such strong engines and the upcoming Nissan 400Z, WRX STi, Civic Type R all in the 400hp region , the G87 M2 does need around 450hp to be in the game

Disagree on the horsepower...my OG is at 365 and is a freakin blast to drive. Personally I don't think these cars need more horsepower, nor do I want that to be the focus of the G87.

I want the focus to continue to be in driving dynamics...and for crying out loud, improved steering!

I'd be good with a small bump in HP to like 415. Just make this thing awesome to drive with a good sounding exhaust. And maybe a better sounding HK stereo.

Edit: and good call out above. I noticed that front overhang as well and do not like. makes me wonder how planted the vehicle could feel with such a short wheel base relative to the body length

Well, it's a damn shame M decided to go out of ICE era with a neutered transmission.

Watch this car sell twice as much than an M4.

Front-end overhang is getting huge. Looks like it's front-wheel drive from the side profile. What happened?

Same boat as you. I'd love an M2C...but this car may be worth the wait.

I agree, nobody is asking for a larger car. F30 size was fine but look at the G20, it's now a midsize car. This car took me awhile to adjust to from the sheer size. It's the largest car I have ever owned and don't really care for anything bigger. They keep moving them up one size for no reason.

Not to mention the roads aren't getting any bigger, especially in Europe.

It's probably going to be like 300-400 pounds more than the m2c, 10 hp isn't going to be enough. BMW has to pick a power figure that competes with competition but doesn't step on the M3 (maybe they won't care about the lower spec rwd MT g80 though)

Or they could shift focus to light weight, steering and chassis feel, and not compete on numbers but we know that's not going to happen.

Reduce weight
Increase engine displacement, NA preferred.
Return to classic styling
Carbon fiber roof please
Reintroduce hydraulic steering or learn from Porsche.
A classic hood line that connects with the hopefully normal-sized kidney grills.

Charge me good, I'm game.

Rear end of the outgoing F87 is horrible. They really made the front beautiful with the M2C but I could never get used to the rear of the old 2 series with those vertical reflectors.

For me, I'll stick with my incoming G80 to have 4 doors and a manual but, if the G87 ends up being the last 6MT BMW ever makes, I will buy one and keep it forever (or until they outlaw gasoline sales).
Personally, I love the F87 rear end. Each and to their own.
