sDrive35is right engine mount failed

It is time for me to replace my engine mount and I noticed the price of the right engine mount is pretty expensive for Z4 sDrive35is - $600 a piece. Is there a cheaper option to go with? Will the right engine mount for sDrive35i work for 35is too? The price for this small part is just crazy Thanks!

I’m curious of the difference between the 35i and 35is mounts. Anyone have pictures of both?

I would check out ecs tuning. They have many options for the 335i. I am guessing these would all work for our 35i/is Z4s?

I found this one on esctuning and they told me it would work on my z4 35is

https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...t/22116773744/

it shows compatible with Mfg Part #22116773744 but my right engine mount part # should be 22116793240...

If it works, it is only 1/6 of the price

The ...3744 is listed as being for 35i while the ...3240 is listed as a heavy duty mount capable of handling the extra torque of the 35is. Of course the former will fit your 35is, but will it last? What's the matter with the two listings for ...3240 I gave you above? Not much more $$ and you're sure of getting the right part.

Making it sound like there is some lesser magic to many of the 35i's now with much more HP and torque than the 35is... Much, much more....

This is a wear item, and over on another spool forum street, there is a few good discussions about aftermarket options.

If I could not find the 35is version close in price (and did not want to go aftermarket) I'd just get the 35i ones and call it a day...

Maybe, but what you are referring to as "aftermarket" I'm assuming is the OE supplier (Rein) to BMW and would be a surer bet than an off-brand (if there is such a thing on this low volume a part).

There are a few manufacturers making engine mounts for N54s now, and various reviews of the products. Many people not tracking their cars end up back at the stock MMs.

Again - check other forums for that data - it's out there, just not here....
