CMy,
a pinched nerve HURTS. Any relief at all from the adjustments?

HR ordered me a lift desk Monday. . .

Your keyboard is too low, if you can look straight at screen but not type. Ask someone to watch you type, I bet your head dips, even if you don't " look down"

Saw my doctor yesterday and she set me up to get X-rays - lower back and mid back. Made an appointment, they're really busy. Soonest I could get was Nov. 7.

Doing lots of back warming up exercises, stretches, Tylenol, Aspercreme, etc. Nothing really helps.
Try prancercize.

I would but I'm afraid I might like it.

Then I might be running all around my neighborhood like a damn fool prancercizing everywhere.

Nothing relieves it; heating pads, ice packs, patches…..

FML.

Rant over.
Not to be alarmist, but I've been to this party.

Look up "cervical radiculopathy".

https://www.pennmedicine.org/for-pat.../radiculopathy

https://www.webmd.com/pain-managemen...-radiculopathy

I had the electricity zapping down your arm coupled with muscle weakness-- it ended up with a cervical fusion *and* and artificial cervical disc.

It might be worth checking out-- my neurosurgeon said that PT wouldn't do any good and that the longer I went, the more severe the damage would be. My tricep is now essentially a bicep-- one of the three parts of the muscle that attaches to the bone is dead; timely intervention saved my flying career.

(And worst case? I'd say artificial disc WAY before fusion-- look up "Mobi-C" ADR-- it cost me $50k out of pocket to avoid another fusion, and it's been worth every single penny.)

Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!

Only 2 visits so far. I do feel some relief this morning. My neck isn't as tight, so I can raise my chin and turn my head. The pain in my shoulder is letting up a bit. Next appointment is tomorrow.

Thank you. I read both links and will definitely explore with Dr if Chiro doesn't work.

My wife had something similar a few years ago. Her doctor recommended this:
https://www.amazon.com/TracCollar-In...0-4513d670b6bc

She was wearing it while driving back and force to work for quite a long time, but no more issues and no surgery.

I tried a heating pad. Didn't do much. Got more out of standing in the shower with hot water beating against my back.

A hot tub would be nice.

I do. I also remember when they brought the price back to $0.35 and $0.45, but that didn't last that long. The Large Coke is still $1.00, though. I also seem to recall the last time gas was $0.76. Sometime around 1999-2000. Then there's these, from the late 70s, early 80s.

We use corn instead of rice. The corn works great. My wife made a couple of different sizes. I'll try rice next time. This is so much better (to me) than a heating pad.

Edit: Pro Tip - If you decide to try corn instead of rice, don't use popcorn kernels. That is, of course, unless you have hot melted butter and salt ready and your favorite movie queued up on the TV.

Maybe I'll try it too. As I said earlier, heating pad didn't do much for me.

So a kid was standing in line with his dad at McDonalds when the pager hanging a big fat lady in front of them goes off.

Kid: "Look out dad, she's backing up!"
