Incase anyone is interested in getting into video, I added a pretty awesome dSLR workshop by Vincent Laforet to my site. It's lengthy, but comprehensive from what little I've watched so far.

I didn't know where to post this question, but I figured this thread would be fine since it's related to video...

My parents are looking to purchase a decent video camera. Do you have any suggestions on what camcorder would be best for them (and why)?

It's for everyday types of things, events, vacations, etc. It needs to be easy to use and not too expensive... basically a good bang for the buck. Nothing sophisticated or high-end. They have no brand loyalty, although they have owned Sony in the past.

Btw, they are looking to purchase within a week.
