It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Not much more complicated than that. If an IPO is issued @ $35, it will go wherever the market thinks it should, not where the bank offered it. Some go up, some go down.

As for what I think a stock is worth, that should be the last thing someone should ask me. I have no clue. I work at the C level in my company and know everything that is going on and I can never predict what will happen to our stock, either short or long term. It's because I can't get out of my value box.

Most DO I have seen are issued because they have someone wanting to buy stock because of something that may happen..or is about to happen. Both parties agree on current value, and off it goes.
