I spent years in thailand. Every toilet there has a "bum gun" next to it. Which is like a sink spritzer at butt level. Thais rinse off after going instead of paper. There MIGHT be paper to dry your butt with.
After all that time there I admit - I still have no idea how they use it without getting their pants wet, or spraying the living hell out of the whole bathroom. So - terribly westernized here. Need TP. On the other hand the Japanese toilets with the built in bum washer are GREAT. What I want to know is what aiming technology they use. It never misses. Is everyone the same or what? |

Today the Dutch government closed all schools, bars, restaurants, and yes even coffeeshops for the next three weeks.
Guess what? Long lines of idiots trying to hoard weed before closure

Well be careful as TP is formulate to dissolve/breakdown in water but kleenex is designed to not fall apart when wet. The occasional flush is likely not a problem but a lot could be... But you will not have this issue given the pics you post!!

The only difference is thickness and the addition of wet strength chemicals. Hand towels, Kleenex will not break down easily and could create a blockage. |

Just installed two of them in December! I thought they were worth it back then.... with this new toilet paper crisis, they are well beyond worth it.
If I want to go completely toilet paper free, I just sit there for a few more minutes with the blow dryer on. |

This isn't something to applaud or be excited about, this is going to put a lot of pay check to pay check folks in default and small business owners in bankruptcy. The trickle effect will hit all of us. |

I don't know how to say this without sounding self-centered as hell, but the weird thing about this is that I'm far less worried about the virus affecting me medically than I am about the economic impact. We, like China, will suffer a great deal, but come out of the other side of this eventually. But the economy could take a decade to recover.
My Mom passed away a few weeks ago when this was still a blip on the radar screen. Her former nursing home is now in lockdown mode with no visitations or day trips for folks inside. That's been going on for two weeks now and they just extended it another 30 days. I can't imagine trying to deal with the issues my Mom had at the end while not being able to even see her. And that scenario is repeating itself at every nursing home in the country by now I'd think. I feel so bad for anyone who has a loved one in a nursing home now. A long time friend of mine who's in the health care biz sent a note out today basically saying, "You know the feeling you got when you saw the toilet paper aisle empty? Think how you're going to feel when that applies to hospital beds." That in a nutshell is why I'm staying home as much as possible for the next few weeks. I'm not so much worried about myself because I'm not high risk, but I seriously do not want to be the person who passes this on to someone who is high risk.
