This was one of our let's say redemption songs when my old mate and I, both, had some troubles @ home when we were 14/15 years old (I'm turning 53)
Das Original. Never Forget. Cheers Robin |

As I already stated here ages ago my 'musical conscience' started with Status Quo when I was about 7 y.o.
One of my mate's brothers was into The Quo and what did we know? But it wasn't this song that got me started. It was Roll Over Lay Down. The Quo were so big in the Netherlands back in the mid 70s. But with this not so rock 'n roll- ish song is how they more or less started: Cheers Robin |

I don't want to get political, but this video was shot in Poland IIRC when the Wall was still there. I visited (East)Berlin/Germany with my parents when I was 11(?)in 1981. Driving from the Netherlands. My mum so nervous thinking of getting arrested.
Come on mum: Those 'Ossies/VoPo East German Police ' wouldn't do that my dad would say. Well they would actually... Just not us. Danke! Paul Weller (The Jam) and the more than lovely Dee C Lee Stow(?) lat Robin |

Forget Spice Girls, even forget the Go-Go's.
But this is how it started. I do love those changing guitar riffs at the end. I really do!!!!!! Cheers Stevie Wonder |

So I was riding along with my uncle in his pretty lame but rather new(they built that sh!t there back then, there was a Renault plant whatever ) Renault 4 in Bogotá, Colombia back in 1990.
He was living there(he's just Dutch and was working back then for the Dutch Embassy lol) Radio on: this song FGS. I told him, back in EU it's a big hit. He was very unimpressed Cheers Robin |

^^^^I saw one of those Danish guys singing with a particular hat. Typically 1930s WW2 .
And then this one came up. One of the best movies...ever. AND more than a great series. Cheers Robin |
