Time to move on while Luka is averaging 37.1 ppg and Anthony Davis is once again injured. Hopefully things turn around for this franchise. I’m sure Dumont is starting to have regrets for signing off on the trade.

Good move for the Lakers, but he has to work harder. Seems a bit lazy at times and now he and LBJ are hurt. Reeves is the man!

25 year old Luka Doncic traded for what now is:

2026 1st (LEAST FAVORABLE of Washington's controlled picks and they have OKC 1st)
2029 Lakers 1st (unprotected from Luka trade)
2030 GSW first (protected)
Max Christie
Khris Middleton's corpse
Marvin Bagley III
AJ Johnson
Malaki Branham

Both Desmond Bane and Rudy Gobert went for more 1st. Really horrible asset management by the Mavs. Unless you believe the draft lottery was rigged and Adam Silver slipped them Cooper Flagg for helping the lakers print money.

Personally... After seeing Flagg play in person and on TV the entire year... He's much better than advertised. I am still okay with getting him for Luka. Now without Flagg, the trade would be an epic fail. Flagg is absolutely dominating on both sides of the floor and he just turned 19.
As I understand it, Dirk is mentoring him and will be taking a larger role in the organization by next season.
We are so free on cap space that the sky is the limit on who we can now bring.
Luka is history now. So that chapter is closed. At least for me.

Cooper Flagg has produced three straight 30-point games, becoming the first teenager in NBA history to accomplish the feat! Flagg is averaging 39.7 points (.577 FG%, .462 3FG%, .852 FT%), 10.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.3 blocks per game over his last three games.

Uhhhm yeah... We're good!

Also MAVS are in the process of building a new Arena / Resort. I may grab season tickets again.

I am a conspiracy theorist and do believe Flagg to the mavs was rigged. Either way I would rather have him than Luca for the long haul and that’s not being critical of Luca I just believe Flagg is going to be a better two way player with a superior work ethic and attitude
