It's all recorded in the ECU. you'd have to get a bmw service tech to read that for you.

How does ESS work? Does it just flash the tables or is it like Cobb where it does a complete copy of the stock ECU and writes it back during uninstall

No, I am not 100% sure, because I never saw such a code. What I meant was, if they can log coding, which I saw, then I would be pretty surprised if the don't log flashing as well. I could very well be wrong though.
But even if they can see that the ecu has been flashed, what can they do anyway? I do not think it is like it would know which flash is the ess one anyway. |
