That being said - the cost ($300+) vs. benefit simply doesn't work for me. I'll be bowing out. Cheers,

HUGE round of thanks to Shadow4!
Over here in Australia this module only equates to 0.2% of the cost of the car. Being able to open / close the roof as I move off at the lights (instead of getting abused for holding up traffic) more than compensates for this small increase int he car's cost. Again THANK YOU SHADOW! COunt Down: 4 days to go...

I have replied to you with the same info as to all other users that have requested info about this GROUP-BUY. "Re: Group-buy -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [quote=KrisNL]I am interested but more questions: So CMTFree + folding mirrors is one stick? The TVFree is the other one. 231 each. What if we take both? Special price for both? Do I get an invoice when I buy with VAT on it ?(for bookeeping) How does the payment/shipping works? "Hi KrisNL, If you want to join the group-buy of the CTMfree now is the time to place your orders. Remember we will have to order a minimum of 10 pieces to get the CTMfree with the folding mirrors ......................." The thing about a group-buy (as i have learned so far) is that 1 person buys a bigger quantity from the supplier with an discount that the supplier gives only having to handle 1 shipment. That is what I am trying to do here. I do this because i like the product and also because i thought it would be some fun in doing it. I can tell you that it's much more work with this than i ever expected and the way i am going to do this is as i wrote in my answer to you and everybody else. I do not run a business here and if you are able to deduct your car expenses I can only congratulate you. I can't. I am sure if you place your order direct to Prochip they will be able to help you. Best regards Shadow4 |

Well Shadow, after your arrogant answer I am happy to order directly at Prochip.
By the way, I meant the other message I sent you, the one after the 'private one' (shouldn't those stay private?). In that message I just asked you about the possibilities on: a/asking for an invoice on my name b/a message from you through you paypal on my sent email address to pay you But, as I just said, I am not going to order through you based on your arrogant attitude. Have a good day and be more friendly, okay?

Guys cool it off.
Shadow, part of your understanding on a group buy differs slightly from mine. A group buy is generally organized by the supplier. They save money buy buying in bulk from their suppliers and guarantees them a business volume. They then ship to all individual end users. In this case you are acting as the supplier so it seems logical for KrisNL to ask for an invoice from you. You could have sent him an invoice through Paypal. (using the request money feature) Usually Prochip should be the one organizing the group buy: They would collect the money, send the invoices and do the shipping. Here, you are another customer who is trying to help other fellow forum members by taking the load upon yourself. We are grateful of your efforts. In reality, if Andreas agreed to a group buy, he should be the one organizing it since he is setup as a business. I suppose the units will be shipped from Prochip or are they shipping them to you first and then you are supposed to redistribute them? If it is the latter as you seem to suggest, wouldn't this add one more leg to the shipping cost? The saving is really usually not in the shipping cost. |

I got a message from Andreas. Shadow is buying, so he needs to provide the invoice.
When you sell, you need to provide invoices. Shadow is in fact acting illegally. Based on the message from Andreas, I have the impression Shadow is making some profit on the sales. When I order, I will do it directly at Andreas' store because I will get an invoice, the right support and warranty.

This might be a bit late for an idea, but is it too late?
Shadow - to make it easier on everyone and to avoid double postage around the world - and all the extra work for you Shadow - is it just simpler to see if Andreas will sell at a special price to a group using the idea of a coupon or discount reference code I floated earlier? I have a concern that his warranty will not apply if I buy it second hand. Thisis effectively what will be happening if you buy them all Shadow then sell them all to us... Can you give it some thought or have you already bought them? Just trying to help... I stil want one, but think there must be a simpler way where we can get a warranty on them and save on posting them around the world twice.

Group buy
Dear Forum members,
As there are some information posted here on this thread that is insinuating that I am doing something illegal here I would like to comment. I will buy the products from Prochip and I will redistribute them to interested forum members. I will get an invoice from Prochip for 10 devices for 2310,00 Euro incl. VAT. As my first intent of doing this was to make it possible for forum members to get hold of these products at a better price than the price that Prochip have for shipping 1 device to each and everyone that are interested my thought was to do this as an favor to people with the same interest as myself. Having both the CTMfree and TVfree installed in my car without any problem I like to share this amazingly easy tool to use to you. If you go to www.DHL.de you can see the shipping costs from Germany to your country. It is cheaper for me to send to each and everyone from Sweden. Check www.posten.se ! You will find that I have not put on any more than what I am going to pay! After seeing what Paypal take for transferring the money it will even be o loss for me doing this! I will put that on my learning account! I bought a car in the 66.000 Euro range and as it is just for fun. I am willing to let my hobby cost a dime or two. Doing this group-buy I thought I could come in contact with fellow Z4 enthusiasts around the world! So far the majority of responses have been very positive. I have already sent the order for the first delivery and those who have ordered by me will have their devices sent to them as soon as I have received the shipment. They will come with an 2 year warranty certificate! Now I am taking my son out for some fun! Best regards Shadow4 PS. Customer in EU without TAX number are saving 67.99 € by group buy! Customer outside EU are saving 44.25 € by group buy! Last edited by SHADOW4; 07-03-2010 at 06:09 AM.. Reason: editorial |

For some reason, I'm reminded of this poem...
Keep up the good work Shadow... don't let others get you down. ------------------------------ No Good Deed Goes Unpunished (So Shines a Good Deed in a Naughty World) by Franklin P. Adams There was a man in our town who had King Midas’ touch; He gave away his millions to the colleges and such; And people cried: “The hypocrite! He ought to understand The ones who really need him are the children of this land!” When Andrew Croesus built a home for children who were sick, The people said they rather thought he did it as a trick, And writers said: “He thinks about the drooping girls and boys, But what about conditions with the men whom he employs?” There was a man in our town who said that he would share His profits with his laborers, for that was only fair, And people said: “Oh, isn’t he the shrewd and foxy gent? It cost him next to nothing for that free advértisement!” There was a man in our town who had the perfect plan To do away with poverty and other ills of man, But he feared the public jeering, and the folks who would defame him, So he never told the plan he had, and I can hardly blame him.

I believe this works just like what you have now by holding the button down with the exception of being able to move up to 20 or 25mph. I don't think this works like a remote open 1 button touch like another type of module I saw somewhere on a different post.

Mannfalk, please check www.prochip.de/e89 - you will see three things there:
1. Support for the various models, including the E93 you're asking about 2. Pricing is listed at the bottom of the description of what the device does 3. How multiple cars works Hope that helps Regards Dave

And I fully support what Darbs330 has written - No Good Deed Goes Unpunished. WBR Serge

DHL sucks
Andreas (Prochip) send me the FreeTV tool since 6/6/10
So far I still did not get it. DHL sucks What DHL do is using local post office to deliver. If you want the tools, try another company, not DHL I still don't know whether I will get a new tool or what, waiting and waiting

Sharing CTMfree and TVfree tools
Since this tool can be used for 3 cars. Since most of us has only one car and we waste another two opportunities.
Can we share the tool? The first owner uses it and then pass to the second and the third, each following user pay to the previous owner plus shipping cost. For example 1st pays 240 euro, use one (two left) 2nd pays 160 euro + shipping , use one (one left) 3rd pay 80 euro + shipping. keep the tool just in case the other 2 may need, we can send this tool among us. Let's get co-owners in the same region to save postage 1. US , 2. EU, 3. Asia, 4. Aus+NZ
